The writers are Thomas Acton, 1774; Edward Lowndes of Old House Green in Odd Rode, 1787-1796; and John Lowndes of same, 1797-1825. The letters cover the years 1774, 1787, 1788, 1790-1806, 1809, 1812-1819, and 1825. They deal with estate business and also refer to matters of local interest. A few lists of tenants and their rents are included. |
